Pastor C.W. Parker began his preaching ministry in 1982. At the age of 15 He preached his first sermon at the Berkeley Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and licensed by the late Dr. M.T. Thompson. He has spent the majority of his life "on the battlefield for the Lord". He entered into full-time ministry serving as the youth minister at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, serving under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Williams, Sr. He has previously served as a senior pastor in Palm Springs, CA (16 years) and Oakland, CA (3 years).
Pastor Parker has a great desire for God and His word. he is best known by his motto "I hang my hat on the word of God." Pastor Parker is committed to sharing the word of God, to equip the people of God to be established in the faith, edified in their walk and equipped to serve.
Pastor CW Parker has, his most important role is that of husband and father. He has been married for over 30 years to his wife Mrs. Angelique T. Parker; is the proud father of two girls, Mercedes (husband Daniel Hudson) and Courtney Wade (husband Andre Blunt); and grandfather of 'Dem Hudson Boys-- “The Heir” Daniel O. Hudson, III, “The Duke” Dyson O. Hudson, and “The Baron” Drew O. Hudson. Pastor CW Parker has often said “I am a person before God, a partner with my wife, a parent to my children, and then I am a pastor of a church. If I am not any of the first three, then I cannot effectively be the last.”
Pastor C.W. Parker is a very capable and skilled teacher of the word of God having taught and conducted seminars for several churches, denominational associations’ conventions and foster care agencies. He has worked with business in effective team building and conflict resolution . He shares spiritual guidance from the Bible with marriages, singles, grief support, and life's challenges.
A P.O.S.T. trained police chaplain, Pastor Parker served as chaplain for the Palm Springs Police Department. This most humbling experience allowed him to meet the spiritual needs of law enforcement officers as a member of the Peer Support Team.
In this season of transition Pastor Parker is maintaining his committed service to God by be being available for pulpit supply preaching, teaching Bible studies and seminars and seeking God for His purpose. "I may not know my destination but I am confident of my direction" Pastor CW Parker
